Routine dental care removes bacteria and tartar and can help prevent dental disease.

Pet Dentistry

Your pet’s oral health is vital to its overall wellness. Left untreated, periodontal disease can cause infection, pain, and tooth loss. Additionally, bacteria adhere to the tartar build-up on teeth. This bacterium enters the bloodstream, traveling to vital organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys, causing severe health problems. Routine dental care removes bacteria and tartar and can help prevent dental disease, tooth loss, oral pain, bad breath, and other significant health risks.

We take a comprehensive approach to your pet’s dental care. We start with pre-anesthetic bloodwork before every procedure. While under anesthesia, your pet will rest comfortably on a warming blanket. They will also receive warmed IV fluids. At the same time, our team performs full mouth dental x-rays, scaling, polishing, and charting, and they will apply a sealer to the teeth to slow future plaque build-up. Our skilled doctors can perform simple extractions and full-scale dental surgery when necessary.
