Paul W. Gainer
D.V.M.
Dr. Paul Gainer graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University in 1982. With Dr. Dixon, he started Flint Veterinary Clinic in 1984. His professional interests are small animal medicine and surgery, including avian, reptiles, and other exotics. He also has an interest in orthopedic surgery. When he is not at the clinic, Dr. Gainer enjoys spending time with his family and smack-talking while playing golf.
Michael D. Dixon
D.V.M.
Dr. Dixon has been practicing medicine for 40 years, 38 years with Flint Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Dixon and his beautiful wife have been married for 42 years and have four wonderful children. When he is not working, they enjoy traveling, taking walks, hiking, reading, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Tammy Wilson
D.V.M
Dr. Tammy Wilson was born and raised on a ranch in central Wyoming before attending vet school at Colorado State University. With her husband and son, she worked and lived near Longmont Colorado for the last 18 years. Her son’s graduation from high school and family in Texas prompted the move to the Tyler area. Dr Wilson has a strong professional interest in internal medicine, nutrition, pain management, and dentistry. She is very excited to join the team at Flint Veterinary Clinic and looks forward to the incredible clients there.
Mary-Birdsong Gabriel
Dr. Gabriel was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. She completed her undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State University and recently graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gabriel worked at Flint Veterinary Clinic during her summers off from school and was eager to come back and join the team as a full-time veterinarian. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dog ’Moonpie’ and helping on her family’s cattle ranch.
Ruby “R.J.”
Practice Manager
R.J. has been with Flint Veterinary Clinic since 2000; previously the Operations Manager, and she started as an assistant. R.J. has been married for 32 years and has many furry and feathered children, including dogs, cats, parrots, a flock of chickens, and a donkey. She enjoys her Jeeps, camping, boating, being outdoors, and crafts.
Maggie
Client Service Representative
Maggie has been with Flint Veterinary Clinic since 2014. She has extensive experience as a receptionist and has earned the Veterinary Receptionist Certificate of Excellence. She has also been a personal trainer. Maggie enjoys her Golden Retrievers Ivy and Daisy, cooking, walking, working out, and reading a good book.
Jared
Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jared received his license as a Veterinary Technician in 2010, he started working with us in 2020. He has a true love of animals and is passionate about animal care. He has been living in this area for several years. Flint Veterinary Clinic is proud to have him on our team!
Cierra
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Cierra graduated from the veterinary technician program at Pima Medical Institute in 2017. Originally from Alaska, she enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking. She loves spending time with clients and making the vet visit as comfortable as possible for the pet.
Jeri
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jeri graduated from Cedar Valley College in 1996 with an associate degree in applied science in veterinary technology. She worked for a few years in the veterinary field before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom. After 18 years, Jeri came back to her passion for veterinary care and rejoined Flint Veterinary Clinic in 2020. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and granddaughter, writing, and cooking.
Suzie
Veterinary Assistant
Suzie has true compassion and love for animals. She started at Flint Veterinary Clinic in 2000. She left us for a few years and then decided to come back. She is currently enrolled in college to obtain her LVT. When away from the clinic, she spends her time with her wonderful husband of 24 years and two children. They enjoy riding horses, fishing, and making memories together.
Tina
Veterinary Assistant
Tina has been involved in the pet industry for 20-plus years, either on the retail side or working at a veterinary clinic. Tina started at Flint Veterinary Clinic in 2017 as a receptionist; she is now an assistant. Along with her husband, she has three grown children and two furry kids. Brutus, a boxer, is a certified therapist and occasionally competes in the Rally Ring. Hart is her Australian Shepherd who is in training for Therapet and will be competing in the future in a variety of canine sports.
Andrea
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband, our three kids, and two fur babies.
