Pet Soft Tissue Surgery

Our team performs a variety of soft tissue surgical procedures to help keep your pet healthy and comfortable throughout every stage of life. Common procedures we provide include spays and neuters, hernia repairs, growth and mass removals, and exploratory surgeries. Whether your pet is undergoing a routine procedure or a more advanced surgery, we prioritize safety, pain management, and attentive monitoring before, during, and after surgery.

During every procedure, your pet is closely monitored under anesthesia. We use advanced monitoring equipment, including pulse oximetry to track oxygen saturation and heart rate, while also carefully monitoring vital signs such as respiration and temperature throughout surgery.

Pre-Anesthetic Bloodwork
Pre-anesthetic bloodwork allows us to evaluate your pet’s internal health prior to surgery. This screening helps identify underlying conditions such as anemia, kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, or infection that could increase anesthetic risk. By identifying concerns beforehand, we can tailor anesthesia protocols to help keep your pet as safe as possible.

Intravenous Fluids
An intravenous (IV) catheter provides direct venous access during surgery and offers several important benefits. IV fluids help maintain hydration, support healthy blood pressure, and improve circulation while your pet is under anesthesia. In the event of an emergency, the IV catheter also allows immediate access for administering medications or life-saving treatments quickly and effectively.

Surgical Laser
We also offer the use of a carbon dioxide surgical laser for select soft tissue procedures. The surgical laser can replace the traditional scalpel in many cases and may provide benefits such as reduced bleeding, less swelling, decreased discomfort, and improved recovery times for some patients.
