Tammy Wilson
D.V.M
Dr. Tammy Wilson was born and raised on a ranch in central Wyoming before attending vet school at Colorado State University. With her husband and son, she worked and lived near Longmont Colorado for the last 18 years. Her son’s graduation from high school and family in Texas prompted the move to the Tyler area. Dr Wilson has a strong professional interest in internal medicine, nutrition, pain management, and dentistry. She is very excited to join the team at Flint Veterinary Clinic and looks forward to the incredible clients there.
Mary-Birdsong Gabriel
D.V.M
Dr. Gabriel was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. She completed her undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State University and recently graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gabriel worked at Flint Veterinary Clinic during her summers off from school and was eager to come back and join the team as a full-time veterinarian. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dog ’Moonpie’ and helping on her family’s cattle ranch.
Matthew Pettepher
D.V.M
Dr. Matthew Pettepher was born and raised in a small town outside Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama followed by his Master’s degree at the University of Tennessee and has recently graduated from University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Pettepher has a professional interest in radiology, surgery, dentistry, and working with zoo and exotic animals. He is very excited to join the Flint Veterinary Clinic team and make Texas his home. Outside of work, he enjoys camping, the lake, and spending time with his fiancé and his dog “Aspen”.
Ruby “R.J.”
Practice Manager
R.J. has been with Flint Veterinary Clinic since 2000; previously the Operations Manager, and she started as an assistant. R.J. has been married for 32 years and has many furry and feathered children, including dogs, cats, parrots, a flock of chickens, and a donkey. She enjoys her Jeeps, camping, boating, being outdoors, and crafts.
Maggie
Client Service Representative
Maggie has been with Flint Veterinary Clinic since 2014. She has extensive experience as a receptionist and has earned the Veterinary Receptionist Certificate of Excellence. She has also been a personal trainer. Maggie enjoys her Golden Retrievers Ivy and Daisy, cooking, walking, working out, and reading a good book.
Shelby
Client Service Representative
I’m originally from Shreveport, LA and recently moved to the Flint/Tyler area in December 2024. I have been involved with the veterinary industry since January 2025 but came on with Flint Vet Clinic at the end of March 2025 as a client service representative and have thoroughly enjoyed my career change with this group. I’ve always had a passion for animals and I’m so happy and blessed I get to have a job I enjoy coming to every day. Outside of work I love to pet sit (12+ years experience), spend time with my fiancée, my dog Dakota, family, friends, go antiquing, go to the gym and travel!
Jeri
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jeri graduated from Cedar Valley College in 1996 with an associate degree in applied science in veterinary technology. She worked for a few years in the veterinary field before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom. After 18 years, Jeri came back to her passion for veterinary care and rejoined Flint Veterinary Clinic in 2020. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and granddaughter, writing, and cooking.
Suzie
Veterinary Assistant
Suzie has true compassion and love for animals. She started at Flint Veterinary Clinic in 2000. She left us for a few years and then decided to come back. She is currently enrolled in college to obtain her LVT. When away from the clinic, she spends her time with her wonderful husband of 24 years and two children. They enjoy riding horses, fishing, and making memories together.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband, our three kids, and two fur babies.
